Hands-Free, Wheelchair-Mounted Shooting Rest
The Hands-Free, Wheelchair-Mounted Shooting Rest will accommodate nearly any rifle or shotgun (up to 6-mm bore) that has been modified by shortening the stock. With the rear of the gun clamped onto a bracket and the front held to a "T" post, sighting is accomplished by a switch lever, which activates two 12-volt-battery-powered electric motorsone controlling the up/down motion, the other the left/right motion. (In the case of an electric wheelchair, this can be the same battery that powers the chair.) A sip-and-puff vacuum diaphragm is used to pull the trigger. However, an assistant is needed to reload the rifle and to operate its safety mechanism. Different modified guns can be interchanged on the shooting rest in minutes.
