iBOT Personal Mobility Device
Possessing gyroscopic balancing technology (like a Segway), theiBOT Personal Mobility Device provides the user these working modes, each with the seat kept level: Standard-adjusts for inclines, close quarters, lower obstacles; Balance-adjusts for interacting/moving at eye level; (3) Four-wheel-drives up/down steeper inclines and curbs and over a variety of terrain (sand, gravel, snow, ice, standing water); Stairs-allows one to ascend/descend alone or with assistance, depending on disability; and Docking-used with its EZ-Lock system, one can drive a vehicle from the iBOT. Powered by four rechargeable lithium-ion batteries, the device reportedly has a range of 17 miles per charge, max speed of 6.8 mph, 300 lb. capacity, and can negotiate slopes up to 21% (12 degrees) in 4-wheel mode.
