Remlinger Round-Bale Slicer
Blue and yellow round-bale slicer on front end of yellow skid steer slicing a bale of hay with a hill & green bushes in background

Designed primarily for skid steer loaders (but with an optional three-point hitch to fit all category 2-3 tractors), the Remlinger Round-Bale Slicer picks up and carries, as well as cuts, baled hay and silage for beef/dairy outdoor or indoor feeding and straw for bedding. The twisting and pulling motion of using a pitchfork to break up large round hay bales can cause severe back pain and is very physically demanding for the upper and lower body strength. This is a task that must be done twice per day from October through May in many dairy barns. With the bale slicer, bales are sliced open in minutes without leaving the tractor seat. Farmers will not need to tear the bales apart with a pitchfork, but will simply carry the loose hay to the cattle. The bale slicer picks up, carries, and slices bales for efficient and fast feeding or bedding of animals with minimum manual labor.
