Drive-Through ATV Gate
Ink sketch showing the gate’s component parts: two tall wooden posts, steel pipe that runs from post to post (posts near the top), and the eight 10-inch-wide lengths of carpet, each looped over the pipe and riveted to itself.

Because his grandkids forget to close the pasture gate when riding their ATVs, a Kentucky farmer built this unique Drive-Through ATV Gate from carpet strips and a length of pipe. He cut heavy-duty indoor/outdoor carpet into 10-inch-wide vertical slats, each of which he folded over at the top then riveted onto the pipe that was attached to a couple of extra tall fence posts. Although the kids drive right through the "carpet curtain," the cows think it's a solid gate.
