Vibro Hand Seeder
The battery-operated Vibro Hand Seeder is intended to eliminate the usually slow and painstaking task of hand-sowing a single small-to-medium-size seed in each cell of a starter flat or plug tray. The device is basically a long, curved 'spatula' with a handle, which houses a 9-volt battery, a speed-control button, and a switch that the user depresses to turn on a vibrator. The seed, distributed over the length of the spatula, is vibrated (one at a time) off the end of the spatula and onto each cell of the flat or tray. Available options include a 115-volt electric converter (replacing the battery, if so desired) and a spatula-tip magnifier (for sowing extremely small seed).
