Cordless Nailer
Whereas the power source of pneumatic nailers is air provided via hose from an air compressor, the power source of the Cordless Nailer is an electric charge from a battery that either ignites flammable gas in a disposable canister or drives a fly-wheel motor-all housed within the tool itself. While cordless nailers reportedly sink nails as quickly as pneumatics, they do need to be cleaned more often but generally require less startup time. They're especially well-suited for tight or obstructed areas.
