Powered Wire Winders
Powered Wire Winders-also called wire rollers-are used to remove barbed and other fencing wire in such a way as to preserve its integrity for re-use in fencing or other applications on the farm/ranch. These devices 'spool up' into a tight roll significant lengths (as much as a half-mile) of single, double, even triple wire. Depending on specific type, their power source is a tractor's or other machinery's hydraulic system, gas engine, or rechargeable battery. Again depending on type, they mount on a tractor, bale carrier, skid-steer loader, pickup truck tailgate, end of flatbed truck, or on the ground. (Optional accessories often include guide arm, mounting attachments, and stand-alone power packs that can be utilized in other applications.)
Cost range: $500-$2,500, depending on size, power source, etc.
